ABOUT AURORACRAFT

Welcome to AuroraCraft!
Our server is a slightly modified vanilla SMP, with an economy, claiming system, Discord integration, and other quality of life plugins. Development started in February 2025 by Aura and Sock, and AC was opened to the public in April of 2025.

RULES

All of our rules are listed here, as well as in our Discord server and in the original Google Doc.

We have four main categories; World Interactions, Player Interactions, Chat Rules, and Advantanges & Exploits.

World Interactions

World Interaction Prohibitions

1. Building lag machines will result in a permanent ban.
• This applies as well to inappropriate or hateful builds.
2. Keep our world pretty! Don't make unnecessary unclaimed lavacasts, blatantly ugly builds, or tear up massive amounts of ground. You can use the resource worlds for that.
3. Building or using chunk loaders is not allowed.
4. Cracking the world seed is not allowed.

Farms and Redstone

1. Do not build any farm that is incredibly laggy.
• Do not build farms with the intention of lagging the server, this will be classified under the lag machine rule.
2. Max 50 hives or 150 bees per player
3. Max of 2 moss farm "units" per player
4. Max of 1 iron farm that is not within simulation distance of other farms, same with raid farms.
5. No nether portal based farms, at least for now!
6. Max of 100 cows, 100 pigs, 100 sheep, and 100 chickens in an area.

Claiming

1. You are not allowed to claim or build within 150 blocks of another player's claim without their permission.
2. Claims can only be removed under very specific circumstances:
• When someone is offline for more than 90 days, their claim may be eligible for removal, but only if they have less than 48 hours of playtime, and there is minimal progress on the area.
• Claims on rare or valuable structures may be removed if not meaningfully used within 30 days of being claimed.
3. These are general rules, but can be overlooked or adjusted on a case-by-case basis by staff.

Griefing

1. Griefing and stealing from other players is never cool. That's the official AuroraCraft policy! Griefing is defined as, but not limited to:
• Stealing or destroying other players' builds, claims, or items.
• Building in or claiming unclaimed builds or areas that are not yours.
• Not replanting crops or replacing items at public playerwarps or communal areas.

Player Interactions

Player Interaction Prohibitions

1. Do not kill other players outside of agreed-upon PvP areas or situations.
• This applies as well to TP and spawn killing.
2. Do not impersonate other players, notable figures or our staff members.

Economy (1/2)

1. Advertise all player warps, items for sale, or offered services in the Trade channel, or #trade-chat on Discord.
2. If you are advertising a warp, shop, village etc. please make sure you include all necessary information and details. Necessary info would be things like a warp name/password and what the advertisement is for.

Economy (2/2)

3. If you're only interested in a certain item or two, you can also look to trade, buy from or sell directly to other players. It's recommended that you provide a way for others to contact you, and be clear on what you're wanting - price, type and quality of item, etc.
4. The economy of AuroraCraft is player run and will not be tightly overseen by the staff team. That said, you are not permitted to do the following:
• Scam others, that is to say selling a good or service and not providing it, or wildly overpricing items.
• Sell fake items (lored fake enchantments, for example) without disclosing that the item is fake.
• Use real-life currency or services to pay for an item in game.
5. Any form of lootboxes, casinos, or any other form of gambling or gacha shops are not permitted. We do not allow casinos or anything similar for a few reasons:
• Our staff team has no legitimate way of verifying the rates or probabilities for each item, giving us no way to verify whether a shop is fair and balanced, or if it's scamming buyers.
• There is a significant lack of transparency to the buyer/player in any casino. Regardless of the worth of the items in the machine, we do not allow players to purchase things when they don't even know what they're going to receive.
• We do not want to expose our playerbase to any forms of gambling. A decent size of our community is made up of younger players, and addiction is not only dangerous but it is also incredibly easy to fall into at a young age.

Chat Rules

Chat Rules (1/2)

1. Be respectful of others. Do not harass, target, or antagonize other players.
2. Any form of discrimination will not be tolerated.
• This includes, but is not limited to sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism.
• If you lack the basic decency and simple brainpower to treat those around you with any ounce of kindness and respect, then you are not welcome here.
3. Any slur usage will result in an immediate ban with no appeal. It does not matter to us if you can "reclaim" the slur or if it is directed at oneself, it will be unappealable.
4. Some mild swearing is tolerated, though excessive or directed swearing is not allowed.

Chat Rules (2/2)

5. Do not discuss politics, religion, or any other controversial topics in public. This is a Minecraft server, where people may want to take a break from the real world. If you are told to stop discussing a certain topic by a staff member, then drop it.
6. Do not beg for items, ranks, or to staff perms in chat.
7. In a similar vein to rule 6, do not spam the chat for any reason.
8. Do not set your /nick to a name under three letters.
9. The staff team has the final say. If you are told to stop something or to move on from a conversation, then do so immediately. Failure to listen to staff members will have negative consequences.

Unfair Advantages and Exploits

Unfair Mods and Hacks

1. Hacking and mods that give you an unfair advantage over vanilla players are not allowed. This includes flight, movement, x-ray, autoclicking, esp, killaura (which would be rude to the founder!), reach, and more. Keep it fair!
• Most client side mods are allowed, but there are some restrictions. This includes things like cave mode in minimap and world map mods. Don't use those! Replay mod is also not allowed.
• If you're not sure if a mod is allowed, feel free to ask! The staff team always welcomes these kinds of questions.
2. Litematica IS allowed, so long as its EasyPlace and Printer modes are disabled.
3. Duping (of any kind) is NOT allowed and will likely result in a permanent, unappealable ban.
4. Do not use mods, hacks, programs or physical builds to evade the AFK kick timer.

Bug Abuse, Rule Evasion and Alts

1. Abusing bugs without reporting them is not allowed. If you discover a bug, let the staff team know! You will not be punished for accidentally finding a but and then reporting it.
• The only exception to this rule is using enderpearl glitching to access the Nether roof.
2. ONE alternate (alt) account per person is allowed on the server for purposes such as farm loading.
2. You are not permitted to use your alt(s) to evade bans, mutes, or other punishments, or to double vote for more rewards.

VOTING SITES

Voting on one site will reward you with one Vote Crate Key, and voting on all eight sites in one day will
reward you an additional Galaxy Crate Key. Sixteen cumulative votes will grant you one Kit Crate Key
and one Season Crate Key, if applicable.Please note that we do not maintain these voting sites. If there is an error on any of the sites, there is nothing we can do about it. Some vote sites may prevent you from submitting a vote with a proxy or VPN enabled.
